 Get Involved
Why
get involved? There are reasons to get involved in the best schools and
reasons to get involved in the worst schools. There are infinite
reasons to get involved in your child's school. Your time, attention
and money is infectectious. While the hour that your donate to 10 or
100 kids helps those kids directly, they go home and tell their
parents, those parents realize that other parents are involved, they
get involved, your kid feels empowered because his family made his
school made more interesting, more fun, more interesting, more
educational, more athletic. His dad, mom, great aunt or grandfather
made a difference. Your child realizes he can make a difference in his
community and, after a lot of this, we raise great community members.
You think you can't get involved? Getting involved with the PTA at 163 is easy. Volunteer your time, become a class parent, donate money, participate in regular events, fundraising events or work on some of our on-going initiatives. Attend a PTA meeting
and you will be given many ideas (the pta maintains a data base of
people that can help and how they can help). We need helpers at all
hours to translate and help other parents and children. We need you to show your children that their education is one of the most important things in their life.
