The Department of Transportation has dedicated several parking spots in front of the school for use by members of our teaching staff. Please do not double park in front of the school so our teachers can access their cars

* chess instruction in every classroom
* yearlong National Dance Institute workshop for fourth graders
* dance classes for third graders and fifth graders

Annual Appeal Factoids
1. Last year's Annual Appeal provided about 1/3 of the money for the entire PTA budget. (We really count on these funds!)
2. Fewer than 20% of parents participated in the Appeal last year. (We can go much higher than that!)
Our Annual Appeal allows P.S. 163 to move beyond the basics of education. With your giving we can enrich, enliven and endow your children's education with arts residencies, science programs, and weekly chess instruction. Every child at P.S. 163 benefits from your generosity. We want 100% participation from our families, at whatever level you can afford-every dollar counts!

Logros reales del Llamado Anual
1. El año pasado el Llamado Anual contribuyó alrededor de una tercera parte del dinero total del presupuesto total de la Asociación de Padres y Maestros (APM) (¡Y contamos con ese dinero!)
2. Menos del 20 % de los padres participaron en el Llamado el año pasado (Podemos participar muchos más)
Nuestro Llamado Anual le permite a P.S. 163 ir más allá de una oferta educacional básica. Gracias a sus contribuciones, podemos enriquecer, animar y forjar la educación de sus niños con residencias de arte, programas de ciencias, e instrucción semanal de ajedrez. Todos y cada uno de los niños en P.S. 163 se benefician de su generosidad. Queremos que un 100 % de las familias participen este año. No importa la cantidad de su contribución: ¡cada dólar es un dólar más para nuestros proyectos!

The PS163 Community depends on the support and generosity of the
PS163 families to raise the funds that help make your child's
experience at PS163 unique, exciting and enriching. The $90,000 PTA
budget is achievable, but only with your help. Right now we have
approximately ?% participation for Direct Appeal, and we really
appreciate and thank those who have already participated. But we're
still a long way from our goal of 100% direct appeal participation. It
is not how much you give but rather your participation that makes the
statement that you are committed to a strong public education at PS163.
